Overview
The Washington University Wireless Network provides wireless services to schools, departments, staff, faculty and students. The system is based on Meru Wireless and consist of 1300 Access points located through out the Danforth Campus and the South Forty. There are a number of SSIDs that are used at the Washington University Danforth Campus for Wireless connectivity. Typically, after a user first logs in, they will be logged in automatically and do not see all the SSID’s, but they are visible if one looks.
The following SSID’s are available:
WUFI – captive portal not secure
WUFI-S – secure WUSTL key
GUESTWIFI–WUSTL – not secure, no login, limited bandwidth available
wunoreg - for special machine applications
LAW-S - allows access to Law specific resources
wucon wireless - allows Medical School login access to the Internet
WUFI-S is recommended for secure high capacity throughput

Service Level Objectives
The wireless network will be available 7x24x365, excluding scheduled maintenance windows.
Planned Availability 99.99% (availability is measured in terms of percent up-time for the offering excluding scheduled maintenance.)
Administrative availability: Standard/Business Hours: M-F, 8:30am - 5:00pm CST

Does PeerGuardian work on the WUSTL network? We have noticed that you can not obtain an IP address though DHCP when you use PeerGuardian
