Tuesday 3-13-12:

Around 3:30 today the power went out on the South Forty so the wired and wireless network in the dorms will be down until power is restored on the S-40.

Wednesday 3-14-12:

Power has been restore as of 3:00AM this morning.  Internet connectivity has been restored.  If you have issuses please call the NOC at 935-7048.

Early this morning multiple reports of wireless authentication issues came into the NSS NOC.  By 10:30AM these issues were resolved.   If you continue to have problems connecting to wireless please contact the NOC: 935-7048. 

Power has been restored to North Campus.  As of 12:15 am, all North Campus networks are back online.

All power is down to North Campus, and backup batteries are failing.  Connectivity to most North Campus desktop networks is currently down, or soon will be.  Only devices on the generator remain up.

The power outage is effecting a large area north of Skinker and Delmar.  We do not have an estimated time to repair.

Information Services and Technology will be integrating the Residential Cable TV system with new Emergency Broadcasting equipment.  This will cause brief outages to each CATV channel in the residential buildings as the new equipment is connected.  The outages will take place between August 22nd and August 26th.

The following USN switches are down due to a power outage in Wilson Hall.

Power is scheduled to be restored by 6:00 am tomorrow morning.

Internet 2 link dropped at approximately 5:45 pm this evening.  NSS is working with the Indiana Gigapop to islolate the cause of the problem. 

The uplink from the North Campus distribution switch failed this afternoon at approximately 4:10 pm.  Connections were moved to a new switch and connectivity was restored at about 4:20 pm.

WUFI-S is currently non-functional. NSS is working on this issue. Please use WUFI and authenticate with your WUSTL key until this outage is resolved. Please return to this page for updated information.

UPDATE:

At 6:00 PM on August 4th WUFI-S was working properly. Network Services will continue to monitor.

 At 5:50CDT 6/23/2010 we lost connectivity to Internet2. At 7:05CDT connectivity was restored.
